About the team:
You will join a growing team to design for users' needs by understanding their motivations, behaviors, and expectations and will collaborate with cross-functional teams on a range of problem spaces, making safety equitable for all and balancing friction with seamless user experiences. Your work will involve elevating assistance and experiences during accidents, incidents, and harassment, and ensuring user content on Grab's platforms is safe and not harmful to others.
Job Description
- Demonstrate outstanding design thinking and craft fundamentals, with skills in visual, interactive, content, and information architecture design.

Advocate and represent high standards in design excellence and system-wide approaches by guiding cross-functional partners and teams to understand its necessity, expectations, and contributions to impact.

Drive design-led initiatives that identify and tackle challenging Safety and Content Moderation problem spaces in collaboration with cross-functional partners: Product, Analytics, Engineering, and Business Owners.

Contribute, provide guidance, and apply sound judgment to Safety & Content Moderation's design/product strategy by incorporating a holistic customer-centric perspective.

Lead improvements to the design system as new components emerge by fostering a culture of ownership, participation, and innovation.

Conduct and facilitate requirements gathering, ground truths understanding (via quantitative and qualitative methods), divergent ideation sessions, design development, reviews, and testing of your work and team members' to enhance the quality of outcomes.

Participate in shaping the evolution of our design organization by improving design culture, empowerment, and processes.

Establish yourself as a mentor and coach so other designers seek your guidance on design quality and excellence.
Qualifications

Provide a portfolio of your recent design work in English, showcasing your contribution and the impact of your projects. We recommend you provide clear context, outline your end-to-end workflow, and demonstrate how you go from problem discovery to launch.

Minimum of 6+ years of direct experience in product design.

Online portfolio with a range of interactive samples.

Excellent understanding of user experience design for the web, mobile, or touch devices with working knowledge of common mobile/web and front-end web development.

Good eye for visual design and hands-on experience in user interface design. Your work is consistent and high-quality (e.g., intuitive, solves the problem, pixel-perfect) and incorporates best practices. Your team trusts your work.

Ability to define problems, design, validate, and deliver user experiences that solve complex issues, generating positive feedback.

Experience collaborating across team boundaries as an individual contributor with diverse teams in a dynamic and rapidly changing business-minded environment.

Experience in service design, conducting user research through various methods, and the ability to translate research findings into tangible product feature requirements or improvements is a plus.

Experience with current and relevant design tools like Figma and ProtoPie, among others, with the ability to prototype and demonstrate design concepts to extended stakeholders.

Knowledge of the tech space.
