Foth is currently seeking a team-focused, innovative, and results-oriented Lead Process Engineer who has a desire to contribute to our client's success and is looking for new learning experiences and opportunities. This position will be working out of our client location in Battle Creek, MI.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all mechanical design/engineering work for client, including machine layout, sanitary process piping systems, bulk material handling, dilute phase conveyor, dust collection, and utilities.
- Work in a manufacturing environment gathering field data and conducting field investigations as required for project work.
- Provide hands-on installation and start up support for assigned projects.
- Develop and write proposals that include concepts, deliverables, effort hours, and estimated costs.
- Promote best possible solutions for delivery via accurate and cost-effective engineering.
- Create equipment specifications and construction documents.
- Use AutoCAD to generate, present, discuss and lead design reviews.
- Interface personally and professionally with clients and vendors on a regular basis.
- Review equipment bids.
- Provide QC support of mechanical packages including layout drawings, P&IDs, PFDs, construction documents and equipment specifications.
- Work as part of a collaborative project team integrated with partner contractors and client.
- Delegate design work and hold team members accountable.
- Provide technical coaching/mentoring as required.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
- 10+ years relevant engineering experience in dry bulk handling, processing, and packaging
Previous recent experience with the following:
- 2D AutoCAD
- Food processing
- Sizing and selecting valves, pumps, pipe diameter, heat exchangers for food processing systems
- P&ID’s
- Combustible dust system integration
Recent Experience Designing The Following:
- Bulk material handling equipment
- Sanitary piping systems
- Assisted cleaning for piping and equipment systems
- Dilute phase conveyor system
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience leading and managing teams of engineers and designers.
- 15+ years relevant process engineering experience in dry bulk food handling, processing, and packaging.
- Experience leading technical design and integration of packaging systems.

- Develop concept layout in 3D
