As a Lead Infrastructure Architect at JPMorgan Chase within the Finance Technology team of the Corporate Sector, you are a key member of an experienced team of infrastructure architects that possesses deep understanding of software, application, and platforms. You are responsible for implementing and integrating solutions and critical updates across multiple technologies that impact the business.
JP Morgan Chase is looking for a seasoned and motivated SAP Infrastructure / Technical Solution Architect who is passionate about developing complex solutions for the bank for various SAP products in the AWS cloud and on-premise environments. You will help define solution strategy, drive design and technical implementation, and architect innovative solutions. You will work on diverse projects from gathering sizing, data requirements to implementing the solution. You will also be providing Information Security and Compliance solution as well as architect both the platform and system configurations including basis, DBA and system parameter settings.
This position requires excellent analysis and technical skills, expertise with architecture, design, and implementation of information security software, identity and access management system, or enterprise software, and documentation experience.
Job responsibilities

  • Manages Technical architecture analysis, research, design and development of new functionality and integration with key applications and services under SAP ecosystems in both BW and ERP landscapes. Must have experience in the past working as a basis, system admin or in the database technologies including Hana.
  • Designs new solution extensions based on application requirements.
  • Provides architecture and design guidance to the development team
  • Manages software budgeting, procurement, contracts and driving expense reduction initiatives
  • Guides the engineering team to develop, configure and implement the solution as per the product development standards to meet business requirements.
  • Guides the existing Basis, DBAs , Linux technical teams and ensure standards are adhered to in accordance with SAP's Solution Extensions
  • Ensures technical integrity of projects, making sure that common technical elements are leveraged.
  • Participates in product roadmap and product strategy definition.
  • Helps and reviews the creation of solution landscape, product, and solution documentation
  • Defines new integration methods and applying solutions such as data streaming and real time integration to the SAP landscape
  • Prepares paperwork & cost estimates for hardware, infra and consumption costs and keep costs under budget.


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
  • Have a good understanding of SAP best practices.
  • Knowledge with ILM archiving, data tiering, effective data management in hot/warm/cold stores
  • Must have excellent expertise in database tuning development with very good understanding of SAP configuration in batch, dialog, memory management aspects. Ability to dig into system and database logs to troubleshoot problems.
  • Must have experience with SAP Rise, S4 Hana systems and BW platforms.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) based design & development and ABAP Restful Programming Model
  • Must be an expert in analyzing, creating system specifications, and developing tests and implementing business solutions utilizing SAP technologies.
  • Experience working with interfaces in addition to Web Services, such as Java connectors and Rest APIs communicating with non-SAP applications.
  • Experience with SAP security concepts and must have good understanding of the SAP interfacing to single sign-on security


Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience in working with SAP Cloud technologies like BTP/ SAC and other SAP Cloud technologies is a plus.
  • Experience managing projects and collaborating with a team of Engineers.
  • Expertise in doing Solution demos and presentations to customers/business stake holders/architects is a plus.
  • Experience with Data Masking, Data Anonymization techniques is a huge plus.
