We are seeking a Lead Graphic Designer to lead our brand’s creative direction and oversee all aspects of visual design across marketing channels. We’re looking for a talented and resourceful designer to help shape our visual identity and elevate how we present our brand to the world.

In this role, you’ll lead the charge in crafting engaging digital and physical assets that resonate with our audience. You’ll work closely with Marketing, Product, Sales, and Customer Success to create cohesive, impactful designs that elevate our brand across all touchpoints. You’ll also mentor and oversee a Junior Designer, ensuring consistency and high-quality execution across all projects.

What You’ll Do

  • Own and evolve Lawmatics' visual identity across all marketing materials and ensure brand consistency.
  • Maintain the brand style guide, including typography, iconography, color palettes, and imagery standards.
  • Lead design initiatives across all marketing channels, creating digital and physical assets such as email campaigns, social media graphics, ads, blog posts, ebooks, whitepapers, webinars, event booths, company swag, and ultimately, our marketing website—the hub of our brand presence.
  • Regularly design, build, and update web pages ensuring both aesthetic excellence and seamless functionality.
  • Support Sales and Customer Success by creating sales collateral, presentations, and technical documentation.
  • Use our MarTech stack (HubSpot, WordPress, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Figma, etc.) to execute creative projects efficiently.
  • Continuously test and optimize creative assets to increase engagement and conversions.
  • Mentor and oversee a Junior Designer, providing guidance and feedback to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Manage external vendors and partners for print materials, web assets, and creative production when necessary.
  • Stay on top of industry trends and emerging design technologies to keep Lawmatics' visuals fresh and engaging.

What You’ll Bring

  • 5+ years of experience designing high-impact digital assets (i.e. graphic design, illustration, animation) for fast-paced SaaS or B2B companies.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing a range of creative projects (web pages, emails, ads, blog visuals, video, signage, and more).
  • Deep expertise in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere, etc.).
  • Strong front-end web development skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to maintain and optimize a structured design server, ensuring assets are easily accessible and consistently managed.
  • Experience designing for web and email marketing using CMS platforms such as WordPress, Webflow, and HubSpot.
  • Exceptional visual storytelling skills—you know how to design assets that don’t just look good but drive action.
  • A strong grasp of conversion-driven design, understanding what gets prospects to click, engage, and convert.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills—you thrive in a fast-moving environment and work well across teams.
  • Knowledge of web standards, semantics, and accessibility.
  • Strong attention to detail and an eye for pixel-perfect execution.

Bonus Points (not required but a huge plus!)

  • Familiarity with the Oxygen plugin for WordPress.
  • Strong ability to design sales enablement materials.
  • Experience using Asana or similar productivity and task tracking platforms.

San Diego pay range

$120,000$150,000 USD
