In AGC Biologics we manufacture biological drugs for large and small biopharmaceutical companies. The Lead Generation and Market Research Specialist will be part of the Market Intelligence team and will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities for drug manufacturing. In this role, you will research the market of biopharma drug developers with the goal of identifying potential clients. In addition, you will collaborate closely with the BD representatives and help nurture relationships with prospects. You will also be responsible for keeping databases up to date and developing strategies to improve data tracking.
Job Duties
- Research the market of biopharma drug developers through various channels (online and at trade shows) and identify drugs that need manufacturing.
- Use different channels to identify the team behind the manufacturing needs.
- Keep up with market news for target biopharmaceutical accounts in order to identify potential new business opportunities.
- Document all the gathered data and identified leads in internal databases and qualify leads according to AGC Biologics’ commercial strategy.
- Ensure that market data is up to date in internal databases.
- Collaborate with the BD representative team to follow up on identified leads.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to help qualify potentially interesting leads.
- Analyze and report on lead generation metrics to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare market presentations and present insights to stakeholders.
- Provide exceptional customer service to stakeholders and potentially contact prospects through phone calls, emails, and other communication methods.
- Attend industry events and conferences to network and generate leads.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices for lead generation
- Manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects to meet deadlines
Requirements
- University degree (minimum MSc) in biotechnology, molecular biology, biochemistry, pharmaceutical technology or the like.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Full working proficiency in English is mandatory.
- Ability to work independently (in a remote setting if necessary) and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in learning sales software and market intelligence platforms.
- Ability to work with large data sets, analyze data, and make data-driven decisions.
- Ready to work in a highly automated setting.
- Knowledge of the drug development life cycle is a plus.
- Experience in the CDMO or biopharmaceutical industry is a plus.
- Experience with SalesForce and Power BI is a plus.
- Availability to travel 3-5 times a year for 3–5-day periods is a plus.
