Job Description

Process and control
-
Manage accounting and financial systems including accounting software (eg Tally, SAP)

Maintain accounting ledgers and run periodic audits

Develop internal processes for managing vendor invoices and employee’s out of pocket expenses

Work with business units to flag excess spending and potential optimizations
-
Closely coordinate with founders to manage firmwide budgeting

Handle payroll processing and salary disbursal for employees

Financial reporting

Build MIS for internal reporting including expense distribution, revenues and P&L statements

Build a central repository of invoices, filings and other financial documents

Compliance
-
Manage regulatory and statutory compliance

Ensure timely and accurate reporting to respective authorities

Taxation
-
Understand company’s business models and help come up with tax optimal structures

Ensure compliance and timely tax filings including GST and TDS

Product
-
Work closely with tech team in helping them understand requirements of a business financial controller and help develop innovative solutions for our client businesses

Work with tech team to automate audits and reconciliation of nodal accounts used to deliver service to clients

Qualifications
Skills
-
High preference for CAs
-
Deep understanding of taxation and auditing to handle innovative business models

Experience in vendor management, financial reconciliation and accounting

Experience in incoming and outgoing invoices and payments

Experience in managing internal payroll and salaries/expense disbursements

MIS reporting

Experience working with nodal/escrow accounts a major plus

Great communication skills to negotiate with external vendors and communicate and enforce budget requirements across all business units
