The Lead Engineer will provide essential engineering support to ensure the timely quoting, development, and delivery of valves and spare parts for both internal and external customers. This role will focus on identifying opportunity to enhance product offerings. The Lead Engineer will play a pivotal role in simplifying processes, collaborating cross-functionally with various departments, and ensuring the continuous improvement of overall engineering support provided.
 

As a Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for:
 

  • Creating BOMs, GADs and Hookup drawings for Masoneilan and Consolidated Valves.
  • Identifying current product offerings that can replace orders for legacy parts.
  • Initiating and leading the supersession/obsolescence efforts of legacy parts
  • Designing spare parts to retrofit/replace obsolete parts in legacy valves
  • Providing engineering support to machinists, assemblers, and other departments as needed.
  • Solving problems through the lens of how it affects the entire business, and how it affects other departments, not just focus on Engineering or individual KPIs

To be successful in this role you will:
 

  • Have a Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
  • Have 2 years of experience as an engineer working with control or safety valves
  • Be able to eliminate tasks and simplify processes
  • Be able to understand how the ERP works through the entire order fulfillment cycle, and use that knowledge to serve internal and external customers better
  • Try to identify potential problems before they become a major issue
  • Be able to prioritize what is important to the business
