Job DescriptionRoles and Responsibilities: 

  • Scientific research and development of PET Chemistry of assigned projects using sound engineering principles whilst adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product/program requirements.

  • Develop conceptual knowledge in own discipline. May include support roles with specialized expertise or technical knowledge in broad area.

  • Apply general knowledge of business development through education or experience. Understands how work of own team contributes to the area.

  • Resolves issues using established procedures, and consults supervisor or more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.

  • Collaborates with others to solve issues. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Exchanges technical information asks questions and checks for understanding.

  • Takes new perspective on existing solutions. Uses chemistry knowledge and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions.

  • May lead minor projects with moderate risks and resource requirements.

  • Participate in the work of creating new IP and participate in the protection of existing IP

  • Support the planning of new product programs (SOI’s, NPI’s)

  • Participate in the work at customer evaluation sites

  • Prepare and if requested to present technical papers at conferences, on-line etc.

  • Adhere to the GEHC Quality System, using the PRD process during the engineering design process

  • Product Quality support

  • Support EHS activities, as required

Required Qualifications

  • This role requires basic experience in Engineering/Technology & Chemistry. Knowledge level is comparable to a masters degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma with relevant experience).

Desired characteristics

  • Strong oral and written communication skills: Swedish (working, preferably) and English(fluent)

  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs

  • Drive and desire to stay proficient in PET Chemistry evolvement.

  • Basic project planning and scheduling skills

  • A job at this level is likely to be an individual contributor with interpersonal skills
