Join Qura as Lead Engineer
At Qura (https://www.qura.law/), we’re transforming knowledge work and legal research. We’re putting AI search engines on large legal databases that are currently locked away in outdated digital libraries—unlocking a new era of efficiency and accessibility.
Our journey started in 2024.
- In April, we launched our first beta in Sweden. Since then, 75 firms and hundreds of lawyers have paid to use Qura for thousands of AI-searches.
- In June, we raised M2.1 € from Cherry Ventures and top angels & lawyers.
- In September, we launched Qura EU with success across over 10 countries.
Now, we are a team of 9 people looking to build the future of legal research and to recruit the next leader in our tech team.
The Role
We’re seeking a Lead Engineer to help lead and shape Qura’s technology. You’ll collaborate directly with our CTO on critical technical decisions and guide our three main teams—AI, platform, and data.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Share ownership of Qura’s tech vision, making high-level architectural decisions and long-term strategy.
- Team Leadership: Guide and mentor our AI, platform, and data teams, ensuring they work efficiently and effectively.
- Hands-On Development: Contribute directly to our codebase—creating, testing, and deploying features at startup speed.
Who You Are
- Experience: 5+ years scaling tech teams in fast-paced startups (or demonstrable equivalent).
- Expertise: Strong background in at least one of the following areas: AI/ML, full-stack/platform development, or large-scale data infrastructure.
- Ownership Mentality: You take pride in your work, thrive on responsibility, and own your projects end-to-end.
- Execution Focused: You value speed, iterative development, and collaboration in a dynamic startup environment.
