Role and Responsibilities
Position Overview
The Scrum of Scrum Master (SoSM) is a critical role within our organization, responsible for coordinating and facilitating communication among multiple Scrum teams working on interrelated projects. The SoSM ensures that teams can collaborate effectively, removing any impediments that may hinder progress and ensuring alignment with the overall project goals.
Key Responsibilities
Facilitation and Coordination

  • Facilitate the Scrum of Scrums meetings, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across all Scrum teams.
  • Coordinate activities across multiple Scrum teams to ensure alignment and integration of work.
  • Ensure that all Scrum teams adhere to Agile principles and practices.


Impediment Removal

  • Identify and remove impediments that may hinder the progress of multiple Scrum teams.
  • Liaise with stakeholders and management to address and resolve any issues promptly.


Continuous Improvement

  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement within and across Scrum teams.
  • Facilitate retrospective meetings to identify areas of improvement and implement necessary changes.


Stakeholder Management

  • Engage with stakeholders to ensure their needs and expectations are met.
  • Communicate project progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders and management.


Reporting and Metrics

  • Monitor and report on the progress of multiple Scrum teams.
  • Provide metrics and reports to stakeholders and management to ensure transparency and accountability.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), Scrum@scale or SAFe Scrum Master (SSM).


Experience

  • Minimum 12 years of experience in IT industry
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or similar role in an Agile environment.
  • Proven experience managing multiple Scrum teams and large-scale projects.


Skills and Competencies

  • Strong understanding of Agile principles and practices.
  • Excellent facilitation and coordination skills.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
