M9 Solutions is seeking a Lead DevSecOps Engineer to work on a government contract for a client located in San Diego, CA. An active Top Secret clearance is required.
Responsibilities
- Design, write, and deliver Infrastructure as Code software to improve the availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of the network.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for Cloud Native development.
- Build automated DevOps pipelines using tools like GitLab.
- Develop jobs for the deployment of various artifacts that constitute an application on a container-based environment such as Docker.
- Participate in development of advanced CI/CD processes to support deployments.
- Participate in design and architecture discussions and build environments using Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and configuration management tools like Ansible.
- Work extensively to deploy applications on Kubernetes clusters in an on-premises cloud environment.
- Automate repetitive tasks to eliminate toil and drive consistency and repeatability.
- Actively participate in incident response and root-cause analysis, support a blameless post-mortems culture.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI, or Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain SCI.
- Work Authorization: US Citizenship is required.
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering/technical discipline and 6 – 8+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience using DevSecOps tools such as GitLab, GitOps, Bitbucket, CI/CD Pipelines, Docker, Fortify, Sonarqube, Chef/Ansible, Terraform, Nexus, Jenkins.
- Experience with Docker and container orchestration/management tools.
- Understanding of AWS cloud services.
- Experience working with appropriate scripting languages and operating systems software (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).
- Experience with version control systems, such as Git.
- Experience with Agile development and issue tracking systems, such as JIRA.
- Experience with UNIX and/or Linux.
- Experience leading a team of cross functional engineers to design and deploy scalable, highly available, secure cloud infrastructure that supports various applications and workloads.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.
- Active Top Secret/SCI with Poly clearance.
- Security+ 8570 certification.
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
- Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD).
- AWS or similar cloud provider experience.
- Solid understanding of Message Service NATS, Kafka, Redis.
- Strong Linux and networking background.
- Software development experience with C++/Java.

Additional factors considered in extending an offer include, but are not limited to, responsibilities of the position, education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, as well as internal equity, location, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.

Salary Range
$60,000—$180,000 USD
