We are seeking a talented DevOps SRE to join our team and help ensure the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of our Cloud Services and Kubernetes infrastructure. You will work closely with our development, operations, and infrastructure teams to design, implement, and maintain our Cloud infrastructure hosted within Azure and AWS. You will be responsible formonitoring the health and performance of the Cloud Infrastructure, Kubernetes environments, optimizing resource utilization, and implementing automation to streamline operations. THE OPPORTUNITY

  • Design, deploy, and maintainhighly available and scalable AWS and Azure infrastructure 
  • Maintain infrastructure using Terraform and deployment pipelines 
  • Collaborate with product development and operations teams to ensure smooth integration of applications into the Kubernetes (EKS) environment 
  • Monitor (Grafana/Prometheus/Graylog) the health and performance of Vendavo Cloud services and Kubernetes clusters, implementing proactive measures to prevent issues 
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents 
  • Optimize resource allocation and utilization
  • Automate deployment, configuration, and monitoring of Kubernetes clusters using infrastructure-as-code and configuration management tools 
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD (Azure) pipelines for deploying applications
  • Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance and implement best practices for securing infrastructure 
  • Be an SME within the Cloud handling requests, issues and escalations as needed 
  • Participate in capacity planning and performance tuning of the AWS and Azureinfrastructure
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in Kubernetes and cloud-native ecosystem 

THE SKILLS

  • 8+ years proven experience managing Azure/AWS infrastructure and Production Grade Kubernetes clusters
  • Strong experience in designing, deploying, and managing Azure or AWS infrastructure in a Production environment
  • Ability to work independently and as a team and multi-task to a high degree
  • In-depth knowledge of AWS, Azure/Kubernetes architecture, components, and best practices
  • Proficient in core Cloud services, including VPC, VNET, RG’s, IAM, App Services
  • Experience with AWS/Azure backup, recovery and replication
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools Prometheus, Grafana, and Graylog
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols in the context of Kubernetes
  • Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., Bash, Python)
  • Excellent experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure Pipelines
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in cross-functional teams
  • Preferred Qualifications/Skills:

  • AWS/Azure certified
  • Terraform certification (HashiCorp Certified Terraform Associate)
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS and Azure
  • Familiarity with service mesh technologies like Istio
  • Understanding of DevOps principles and practices
  • Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible and Chef
