Lead Developers act as the primary point of contact for our clients, ensuring that teams are successful in their delivery. In this role, you will bring a strategic mindset to projects and spend time collaborating and negotiating with clients to bring a technical vision to life. Having a balance of high-level and tactical mindsets is a must, as you will spend time both with clients and your teammates.
This role is part of DAMO (Digital Application Management and Operations) division focused not only on maintaining operations but also on actively engaging with clients to support their business growth and innovation. Job responsibilities
- You will work closely with teams to deliver innovative customer experiences.
- You will propose and implement solutions for scalability and design challenges.
- You will oversee or participate in the development lifecycle of scalable products.
- You will ensure application health, continuous improvement, and optimization.
- You will act as Level 3 Support to troubleshoot and resolve issues, maintain and update existing applications.
- You will work with large-scale distributed systems, microservices, and external integrations.
- You will utilize continuous delivery (CD) practices for efficient and high-quality software delivery.
- You will be available for swift working hours and on-call when needed.
- You will cultivate Thoughtworker growth and development by encouraging feedback and fostering an inclusive, supportive team culture.
Job qualifications
- You have a strong knowledge and understanding of Java or Kotlin.
- You are also well-versed in other languages (JavaScript, TypeScript, Ruby, C#, etc.C#, Ruby, etc.) and are comfortable with the latest Object-Oriented technology.
- You can skillfully write high-quality, well-tested code and are comfortable with Object-Oriented and Functional programming.
- You have additional experience with React frameworks for Frontend.
- You have working experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, Postgres, or GitHub Actions is considered a plus.
- You are comfortable with Agile methods, such as Extreme Programming (XP), Scrum, and/or Kanban.
- You have working experience with the AWS development and deployment environment.
- You have exposure to Terraform/Kubernetes is considered a plus (not mandatory).
- You have exposure with Clojure is considered nice to have.
