Reports to: Social Media & Content Manager
Overview:
This role brings the Arc'teryx brand to life in Japan through compelling, localized content that inspires our community, celebrates our product philosophy, and supports business goals. As Lead Content Producer, you will help grow brand awareness and engagement through storytelling across social, digital, and campaign channels—rooted in mountain culture, performance, and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce social-first and performance-optimized assets, including short-form videos, stills, motion graphics, and social-first assets tailored to platforms such as Instagram, X, YouTube, and LINE. Ensure adaptability across other owned digital channels.
- Write compelling, on-brand Japanese copy for social captions, video scripts, campaign messaging, and various digital assets. Localization and translation of English content into Japanese will also be required.
- Lead content production for the Japan market, from concept development and planning to coordination with internal teams and external partners for shooting, editing, and publishing across social media, paid digital, and other brand touchpoints.
- Oversee and execute photo and video shoots, including location scouting, scheduling, and coordination with talent, freelancers, influencers, KOLs, and production partners.
- Work closely with the Social Media & Content Manager to ensure content aligns with the editorial calendar, campaign timelines, and overall brand strategy.
- Manage external vendors through post-production, ensuring assets meet brand guidelines and best practices for platforms like Instagram, Meta, YouTube, and X.
- Collaborate with athletes, ambassadors, retail teams, partners, and content creators to co-create stories that embody brand values and strengthen local engagement.
- Build and manage relationships with influencers and KOLs who align with our brand values. Drive partnerships that result in high-quality, authentic content.
- Support creative performance analysis by helping prepare reports and extracting insights to inform future content strategies.
- Maintain organized content archives and oversee production timelines to ensure smooth delivery.
- Stay current with trends in fashion, outdoor culture, sports, and digital content to keep our brand presence fresh and relevant.
Your Profile
- You have a strong eye for visual storytelling and know how to craft content that resonates on social and digital platforms.
- You’re fluent in Japanese and proficient in English, with excellent communication, presentation, and Japanese copywriting skills.
- You have a deep understanding of the Japanese digital and social media landscape, and how global brand narratives can be meaningfully adapted for local audiences.
- You're highly organized, proactive, and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and evolving environment.
- You’re comfortable with content production tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CapCut, or similar), or you have experience working closely with creative teams to bring ideas to life.
- You’re detail-oriented, with strong time and project management skills to juggle multiple deliverables and stakeholders.
- You’re passionate about the outdoors, mountain sports, and sustainability—and you understand the value of authentic community storytelling.
- Willing and able to travel domestically and internationally to coordinate and lead content production.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2–4 years of experience in content production, digital media, or a similar creative field—either in-house at a brand or at a creative/advertising agency.
- Experience creating content for lifestyle, fashion, outdoor, or sports brands.
- Hands-on experience managing photo/video shoots, including working with talent, stylists, and freelance production teams on location.
- Experience with & solid understanding of content tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CapCut, Celtra, or similar platforms.
- Experience with influencer marketing and paid partnerships, with a strong grasp of the Japanese influencer landscape and platform-specific trends.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with marketing, retail, and global brand teams to align content with business objectives.
- Familiarity with content performance metrics and how to adapt creative strategies based on insights.
- Fluency in Japanese and business-level English (both written and verbal).
- Experience working in hybrid teams or across regional/global teams is a plus.
- Passion for the outdoors, storytelling, and community-building around sustainability and sport culture.
