Job Description:
What You'll Do
Responsible for assessing 1st line business processes and controls used to monitor and test adherence with Federal and State regulatory requirements. The role collaborates with management to identify compliance issues and corrective action plans and communicates the scope and severity of concerns identified to the applicable level of management. Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management.
How You'll Do It

  • Develop test scripts for control testing.
  • Perform effective quality assurance and quality control assessments.
  • Utilize analytical skills to identify compliance and operational effectiveness gaps.
  • Collaborate with various levels of management within the areas of responsibilities, including the risk functions within the 1st Line of Defense. Evaluate and test the adequacy of business processes and practices with respect to risks, controls and regulatory requirements identifying gaps and issues.
  • Manage activities of Compliance Testing staff (direct/indirect) and is responsible for the overall integrity and quality of the work product. .
  • Create and maintain testing workpapers and supporting documentation. Draft written reports regarding compliance testing results.
  • Monitor and validate the status of corrective actions taken by business partners to remediate concerns. Create and maintain testing workpapers and supporting documentation. Draft written reports regarding compliance testing results.
  • Maintain a high level of awareness and knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements. Support Compliance Management in developing, implementing, and maintaining an enterprise-wide Compliance Program and culture of compliance.


Qualifications You'll Need
The Basics

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management, Finance or Law
  • 4 + years of experience in Compliance, Financial Services, Risk, BSA/AML or Related
  • In Lieu of Education 8+ years of experience in Compliance, Financial Services, Risk, BSA/AML or Related including Testing, Quality Assurance or Audit

Bonus Points If You Have

  • 6 + years of experience of Testing, Quality Assurance, Audit or Related experience
  • 4 + years of compliance and transparency, risk identification and assessment, processes, tools and techniques to provide oversight and challenge to risk measurement activities, knowledge and understanding of compliance laws and regulations, Policies and procedures, governance and reporting, risk monitoring and testing, identification of regulatory risks and adequate risk mitigants, handling of complaints, comprehensive, risk-based compliance training specifically tailored to job roles and responsibilities.
  • 4 + years of effective written and verbal communication, building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives, and optimizing work process with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager Certification or Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist Certification.

Compensation:
The base pay for this position generally ranges between $77,500.00 to $131,500.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
