Job Summary

We are looking for a candidate to play a pivotal role in promoting a strong culture and robust processes for anti-bribery, anti-corruption, marketing compliance, compliance audit, and reporting. The ideal candidate should be an experienced compliance professional capable of collaborating with legal, finance and business stakeholders to manage the Company’s Business Compliance Program.

  • Oversee, maintain, and innovate an effective compliance employee engagement and communication program for the organization.
  • Manage the Business Compliance Program in cooperation with stakeholders, evaluating effectiveness through key metrics.
  • Develop, maintain, revise, and operationalize policies, procedures, protocols, guidelines, and training materials.
  • Monitor legal and regulatory trends, prioritize legal and compliance issues, and determine appropriate courses of action.
  • Conduct systematic audits for monitoring and reviewing Business Compliance Program controls and support the conduct of external audits by licensing partners/ corporate functions
  • Respond to conflict of interest questions and gift approvals, driving standardization in accordance with the Company's global policies while being cognizant of the BU requirements and regional laws
  • Serve as a change agent and champion leading the compliance organization for ongoing growth and transformation for India Business across all of its markets

Qualifications

Educational Qualification

A graduate/professional qualification in law, finance or other discipline from a reputed university in India

Minimum Work Experience

10 years of experience as a legal professional with compliance experience, preferably in the pharma/healthcare sector; experience in a US listed company, handling compliance will be beneficial

Skills & Attributes Technical Skills

  • Familiarity with US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, UK Bribery Act, Prevention of Corruption Act of India and other global anti-corruption regulations. Sound knowledge of pharma marketing practices and codes of conduct for medical professionals and the regulatory framework for distribution of pharmaceutical products will be a clear advantage.
  • Experience driving compliance for complex regulated businesses and international entities.
  • Proven track record in advising business stakeholders on the compliant way of executing business projects
  • Superior analytical skills, mature judgment, and innovative thinking.
  • Proven track record of drafting policies, developing material for communication and training on compliance framework

The compliance function at Dr Reddy's is part of the Global Legal & Compliance department, which operates directly under the purview of the office of the CEO. The compliance function is a highly regarded unit within the GLC and is entrusted with the mandate to ensure that the organization conducts its activities as per the highest principles of ethics, in due adherence to the law of the land and the regulatory framework governing our business. The GLC boasts of a strong unit of professionals with diverse qualifications from degree in law to chartered accountancy to specialization in data privacy programs etc. As the collective body of legal professionals, compliance officers and data privacy specialists, the GLC is a global team and occupies a critical place in honing and fostering the compliance culture at our company.
