What You'll Do
The team at U.S. Parks Tech & Digital (Walt Disney World & Disneyland) is seeking an experienced Lead Business Analyst to join the US Parks team of program, portfolio, and project managers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for two major workstreams:
Process Improvement:
- Analyze business processes, gather requirements, document requirements using techniques such as workshop facilitation, document analysis, onsite walkthroughs, use case creation, scenario modeling, and task/workflow analysis.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand program needs, strategic direction, and ensure initiative delivery.
- Drive US Parks-wide change across the Technology & Digital organization to achieve strategic goals.
- Engage and persuade peers and leaders to adopt new ideas and initiatives.
Program Management:
- Collect, clean, and evaluate large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights to enable informed decision-making and strategic planning. Leverage modeling techniques to support running hypothesis, optimize analysis and forecast trends.
- Partner with cross-functional internal teams and external stakeholders to define initiative scope, goals, KPIs, outcomes, and deliverables.
- Monitor and communicate project status, issues, and risks to stakeholders, management, and the community of practice.
- Provide strategic input on portfolio, project, and program management best practices and monitor industry trends.
- Ensure the benefits, impact, and release of all changes are tracked, managed, and communicated to relevant stakeholders.
- Provide subject matter expertise on business unit processes and systems.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience as a Program / Business Analyst
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong leadership and time management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with change management principles.
- Understanding of software development tools such as JIRA, Confluence, etc.
- Familiarity big data / visualization tools such as PowerBI, Tableau and the core concepts of relational data.
- Experience with business analysis tools and application development methodologies.
- Knowledge of project management principles and practices; Software Development lifecycle (SDLC)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Agile methodologies.
Required Education
Bachelor's degree in Technology, Business, Finance, Industrial Engineering or related field.
