About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Business Execution Consultant.

In this role, the individual will be part of the CB Operations Operational Excellence function as Lead Business Analyst. The role requires planning, designing, developing, and implementing efficient business and operations processes and systems in support of core organizational functions. This includes gathering and analyzing data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and systems requirements for medium and complex projects. The Lead Business Analyst will independently work with colleagues across the business vertical on projects to understand key business processes, identify how those can be improved and simplified, and support in the delivery of the associated improvements.

The individual will be expected to have solid experience working as an Internal Consultant solving business problems of varied nature. The incumbent will be required to work under stringent timelines, maintain strong engagement with multiple functions in a matrix environment.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead cross functional teams to strategize, plan, and execute a variety of programs, services and initiatives
  • Drive accountability for assigned initiatives, limit risk exposure, and create efficiencies as appropriate
  • Review strategic approaches and effectiveness of support function and business performance
  • Perform assessments through fact finding and data requiring creative approaches to solving complex issues, and develop appropriate solutions or recommendations
  • Make decisions in highly complex and multifaceted situations requiring solid understanding of business group's functional area or products, facilitate decision making and issue resolution, and support implementation of developed solutions and plans
  • Collaborate and consult with members of the Business Execution team and team leaders to drive strategic initiatives
  • Influence, guide and lead less experienced Strategy and Execution staff within the group
  • Act as an internal consultant to Business Operations, supporting overall organizational efficiency via a range of levers
  • Design and document new business requirements to drive change or enhancements
  • Engage with business partners and cross functional teams to identify, analyze, and prioritize inefficient business/operational processes with the goal of driving measurable improvements
  • Use analytical skills and a research and data driven approach to identify challenges / opportunities, and solutions to address those
  • Work under stringent timelines, maintain strong engagement with multiple functions in a matrix environment
  • Ensure efficiency, quality, cost effectiveness of solutions
  • Research moderately complex business and operations processes and make recommendations to enhance efficiency
  • Collaborate and consult with initiative leaders in developing plans, policies, and procedures
  • Provide leadership in management of relationships and implementation of programs, services, and initiatives with cross functional business partners

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Strong experience in Business Analysis / Process Engineering and Streamlining / Change Management / Agile Methodologies, with a good understanding of Business Operations in a Financial Services context

  • Implementation experience and sound working knowledge of Loan IQ across Syndicated Loan life cycle
  • Sound knowledge and background of operational processes in a financial services context.
  • Ability to facilitate workshops, design sessions and gather requirements from Line of Business SMEs, Senior leadership.
  • Experience working in AGILE methodology and SCRUM process (sprint planning, product backlog refinement, retrospectives), with ability to elicit requirements, user stories, familiar with tool like JIRA and Confluence.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical skills, and high attention to detail with ability to evaluate data and draw meaningful business conclusions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to interact professionally at all levels including executives, managers, and SMEs.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment with an emphasis on teamwork.
  • Intermediate / Advanced skills in MS-Office Suite (specifically Excel / PowerPoint)
  • Ability to be flexible and adjust plans quickly to meet changing business needs.
  • Ability to prepare reports, governance documents, metrics, and presentation materials for various levels of leadership.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and deploy soft skills to move work forward despite challenges.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Adapts to changing priorities and excels in ambiguous scenarios with a mindset to continue moving forward.
