Program Summary
KBR leads the government services world contingency market by providing responsive, full-service logistics support to forces deployed around the world under the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program contract (LOGCAP). Job Summary
As a Senior Logistics Support Specialist, you will be an integral part of a team driving impactful solutions and contributing to global change. You will play a pivotal part in implementing health, safety, and environmental policies while actively engaging in HSE conformity and promoting organizational values.
Roles and Responsibilities

Provide movement control support for the surface & air movement of cargo and personnel through the U.S. Military Transportation System.

Perform assignments under general and occasional direct supervision, demonstrating expertise in standard concepts within the field.

Display core job competencies by analyzing possible solutions, using standard procedures, and developing advanced skills.

Assist in the coordination of logistical support functions; adhering to policies, and procedures necessary to provide support in all areas of airfield operations.

Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental policies, ensuring departmental safety compliance.

Extract necessary data from pre-published schedules / amendments and the preparation of daily schedule.

Coordinate mission planning and requirements with all stakeholders.

Generate incident reports, conduct inspections, and ensure conformity with HSE standards, client, federal, state, and local regulations, as well as KBR procedures.

Review and reconcile manifests, short/over shipments, and air terminal reports.

Ensure all documentation associated with Terminal Air/Ground Handling scope of work are appropriately retained for proper accountability.

Inspect cargo verifying airworthiness, validate pre-load plan weights, dimensions and ensure In-Transit Visibility in accordance with applicable guidance.

Determine and implement necessary safety and security precautions for the handling and storage of hazardous material, special cargo, mail, and baggage for air transport.

Build-up / break-down pallets, multi-pallet trains, prepare rolling stock, build retrograde assets, and weigh cargo.

Operate material handling equipment such as all-terrain forklifts, K-Loaders, and additional material handling equipment.

Handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules.

Make cargo and passenger-related decisions under pressure in a high-stress atmosphere while maintaining performance standards.

Troubleshoot problem areas in logistics and recommend effective solutions.

Demonstrate excellent organizational and time management skills.

Select, assemble, palletize, stage and transport cargo load to/from aircraft/storage areas.

Load and unload military / commercial aircraft and linehaul trucks.

Coordinate with customers to ensure desired logistical objectives, priorities, and schedules are met.

Interact with services personnel, clients, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies to research and interpret standards, codes, and regulations.

Work an uncommon tour of duty including nights, weekends, holidays and under strenuous conditions.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)

Must be able to pass a U.S. Government background investigation and obtain a NACI. Due to this, you must be a U.S. Citizen or a U.S. Green Card holder who has lived within the United States for at least the last 3 years to be eligible for this position.

Requires Bachelor’s Degree and 3 years of related experience. An additional 5 years of related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Must have experience in the loading / unloading of civilian / military aircraft.

Experience in military cargo buildup / breakdown, documentation, and marking / placarding is required.

Must be able to conduct work in out-of-doors areas with potential exposure to extreme climate conditions, including extended periods of standing, walking, pushing, and lifting up to 65 pounds.

A strong proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking, and understanding) is required.

Must have experience working on overseas U.S. military facilities/installations.

Must have a valid Driver’s License.

Requires a valid passport with at least 12 months of validity and 6 blank pages.
Preferred Qualifications (Preferred Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)

Explosive cargo handling experience and the ability to read Air Load Plans civilian/military.

10K/10K-AT forklift (military or civilian) experience and Cargo Loading MHE (25K, 44K, 60K).

Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Ability to perform one or all of the following: Air Load Planning, Hazardous Material Inspection or Joint Inspections.
