Summary:
The LCA Business Development Manager will communicate with customers about the value of Flowserve’s LCA program, and Flowserve products and services, in order to develop relationships for business growth and long-term contracts. This position can be in various U.S. locations, such as: Houston, TX; Baton Rouge, LA; West Chicago, IL; Bethlehem, PA; and Los Angeles, CA. The preferred location is Houston, TX.
Responsibilities:

Develop, coordinate and implement a plan with the End User Sales Team to achieve yearly targeted LCA business growth objectives and aftermarket bookings

Network with other Flowserve organizations, such as End User Sales team, Project Sales, Channel Partners, and management to identify, develop and deliver valuable LCA partnerships

Communicate effectively with Flowserve management to foster support of new and innovative initiatives that improve the LCA program for customer growth and retention

Actively participate in new and renewed program rollout meetings, annual review meetings, and transition planning with the LCA Execution Team

Coordinate with End User Sales to renew existing alliance agreements with a disciplined, win-win approach to ensure Flowserve’s financial and business goals have been met

Coordinate with Global Account Managers to gain corporate support for new growth initiatives, and collaborate with other regional Alliance Development Managers to leverage business strategies globally
Requirements:

A four-year degree in a technical or business field is required, along with 8–10 or more years of field experience working with technical equipment, preferably in sales of mechanical equipment to customers in industries such as oil and gas, chemical, power, or other production sectors.

Experience in the management of programs within a matrix organization.

Strong technical understanding with the ability to articulate the benefits of the total cost of ownership, specifically with Flowserve’s value-based offerings via LCA process, such as reliability improvement programs, environmental upgrades, operational impact, and wireless assessment systems.

Demonstrated capability to compile and deliver impactful presentations across broad audiences both internally and externally, inclusive of senior leadership.

Strong understanding of facilities, equipment, and processes in the oil and gas, chemical, specialty chemical industries for the ability to translate Flowserve offerings.

Capable of assessing clients and developing business opportunities by analyzing data, compiling financial model, presenting, discussing, and negotiating agreements with customer’s department heads such as procurement, reliability, maintenance, and operations.

Demonstrated success as an influential leader with a customer-first attitude, a positive energy, and a passion for product and service excellence.

Ability to travel 25% - 50%

Some physical activity required to climb stairs and ladders in customer facilities.
