Temporary position for 6 months
As a law intern who has successfully completed blocks 1 and 2 of the Quebec Bar school training, you will support lawyers in carrying out their mandates. You will interact with stakeholders working in complementary fields. These opportunities will allow you to develop your professional skills while actively contributing to our projects. Here is an overview of the areas of law sought:
Legal Advisory Services in Insurance, Annuities, and Trust Products: Your role involves supporting professionals in insurance law, annuities, registered and retirement plans, and trust products. You will participate in the development of legal opinions and appropriate implementation plans. You will conduct research and perform preliminary analyses.
Business Law and Banking Law: Your role involves supporting professionals in business law, corporate and commercial law, and banking law. You will participate in the development of legal opinions and appropriate implementation plans. You will conduct research and perform preliminary analyses.
More specifically, you will be required to:

Support the professional resources of your unit by conducting legal research and analysis in various areas of law

Draft and prepare various reports, opinions, and summaries

Draft legal documents
What you bring to the table

Bachelor's degree in law

This internship must be considered an official internship of the Quebec Bar school for registration purposes on the Roll of the Order

A minimum of one year of relevant experience

Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered

Knowledge of French is required

Intermediate advanced proficiency of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
