About the Company:
Capi helps businesses in Africa pay their international suppliers. We’ve raised over $18m from Creandum, Y Combinator, General Catalyst, Firstminute, Janngo, Kima Ventures, and some great angels from Revolut, Checkout, Stripe, Onfido, and Remitly.
Capi was founded by Mitch Riley, Scott Liddle, and Tom Watson. Mitch and Scott were COO/CFO/GC and CRO/CMO at Taptap Send, a remittance unicorn, and have spent two decades between them working in emerging markets. Tom is a third-time founder having founded Hubble and P4SD.
Role Overview
Partnerships & Launch expands the frontier of what’s possible for Capi.
We grow the company’s addressable market by unlocking new countries, segments, and business lines. We secure strategic partnerships and turn them into live products and real revenue. We don’t just explore what’s next — we launch it.
As a Launcher, you’ll operationalize Capi’s expansion efforts.
You’ll roll up your sleeves to figure out how things really work — from onboarding a new banking partner to setting up the first customer flows in a new country. You’ll work closely with internal teams and external partners to unblock edge cases, document playbooks, and ensure every new launch is built to scale.
You’ll typically partner with the Partnerships & Launch Manager for major launches, but will also own smaller market entries or product expansions end-to-end. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in messy environments, learns fast, and brings structure to ambiguity. You’ll spend time on the ground in-market, talk directly to users, and build resilient systems that serve real businesses.

What We Do
Capi helps businesses in Africa pay their overseas suppliers. Importers of goods in Africa pay up to 10% to settle an invoice and wait weeks for the payment to arrive. We’re on a mission to give businesses in Africa the same price and speed as businesses expect in the US and Europe.
We're backed by Firstminute Capital, Y Combinator, General Catalyst, Raba, Kima Ventures, Africa Fintech Collective, Musha Ventures, Four Cities, former a16z and YC partners (including Paul Graham), scouts from a16z and Sequoia, and co-founders and operators from Onfido, Taptap Send, McKinsey, Earnest, GiveDirectly, and Turquoise Mountain
