Job Description
Manage the bidding for Solutions and Services. Ensure proper pricing & cost estimation, risk analysis and mitigation strategy associated, proposal content, compliance, approval processes, customer liaison, and business partner/vendor coordination. Select, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the proposal function, assuring team skills and developing domain expertise. Responsible for managing all required resources to build the proposal content. You will guide the efficiency, consistency, quality, and accuracy of our proposals while following appropriate processes, to drive increased opportunity win rates. Impulse cooperation between Solutions and Services, Sales, and Distributors to support the Customer Lifecycle Journey. Support launch and deployment of special programs, productivity initiatives, change management projects, and commercial programs guided by Business Unit.

Location: Bogota, Mexico City, Sao Paulo, Santiago, or Buenos Aires (Hybrid Schedule).
Responsibilities:
Execution
- Lead proposal development for Solutions & Services projects, contracts, transactional and cybersecurity opportunities.
- Leverage and coordinate with Global Engineering & Business Services (GEBS) and other back-office structures along with internal stakeholders to provide quick, accurate, and standard proposals to manage the stakeholder's expectations associated with winning opportunities
- Coordinate and develop proposals ensuring delivery and best quality
- Lead and assist Proposal Resources on proposal development
- Comply with company and local policies, standards, procedures, and protocols
- Assure proper risk reviews in the estimations considering inputs from stakeholders and domain experts
- Work with the procurement organization to get 3rd party quotes to be included in the proposal
- Close collaboration with operation teams for order acknowledgment and an shipment/billing achievement
- Assure proper opportunity data management on the proposals tracking platform to guarantee KPI accuracy
- Collaborate with global and regional organizations to validate the accuracy of cost and prices in tools of lifecycle portfolio.
Business
- Understand Business Units' P&L to provide proposals with expected profitability.
- Control commercial-expenses budget of resources allocation and utilization aligned to order conversion planning
- Awareness of opportunities frontlog and orders forecast for proposal execution planning and proper solution assessment
Commercial
- Commercial skills in opportunity development
- Understand the impact of proposal presentation on opportunity achievement
Procedures
- Comply with company and local policies, standards, procedures, and protocols
Tools & Templates
- Assure usage of proper tools and standard templates for all types of proposals
Pre-Sales
- Provide the best quality on the estimation assuring consolidation of information from pre-sales & consultancy teams on: Commercial strategy, Drivers, Positioning, Competitors, Budget, Specifications, Target Price and Due Date. Pursuing cooperation for solution assessment with consultants.
Standardization
- Work with Global & Regional teams to implement proposal improvements (tools, best practices, compliance, and procedures)
People Development
- Develop team on hard and soft skills oriented to business strategy and people career objectives
Market & Growth Development
- Work with Global & Regional Teams and local stakeholders to support growth strategies
Qualifications:
- Experience understanding customer buying behaviors & processes
- Have knowledge on how Solutions & Services are organized and delivered
- Motivate and work with others
- Develop direct reports
- Develop processes within LAR
- Communication skills (written and verbal) at multiple levels of customer organization.
- Work with cross-functional teams and multicultural teams
- Business & Commercial acumen
- Project Management understanding
- About five (5) years leading people or equivalent
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering / Electrical / Electronic / Automation
- About five (5) years of proposal experience for industry applications of automation
- Experience in propose large projects that involves EPC (engineering, procurement and construction)
- Services knowledge to help improve service operations and the growth in LA region
- Project Management, field service, and project development experience
- Solid knowledge of the proposal process
- Work with both internal and external customers
- Advanced English Level >80%; Spanish or Portuguese
- Able to travel – 25% time
