The following position is to join our RTX Corporate, Enterprise Services team:

Provide services for infrastructure provisioning, application deployment, and general IT support to enable the Enterprise Services Business Systems Applications in the Operations, Supply Chain and Quality portfolio. Participate in support, planning, definition of best practices, and collaborative meetings in support of these goals. 

As a LabView Developer, you will work to support a complex home-grown application that assists people working on the manufacturing shop floor, ensuring they meet the highest standards for performance, usability, and security. You will be responsible for both the client-side and server-side logic, developing seamless user experiences, and contributing to all aspects of the software lifecycle, from design to deployment. The ideal candidate will have experience with LabView as well as database management systems, and be excited to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

What You Will Do:

  • Work with a small team on development projects and support.

  • Deliver practical solutions to complex problems.

  • Design, develop, and support new and existing applications.

  • Collaborate with development team, system administrators, and network engineers

  • Create and maintain system documentation, including best practices, procedures, and policies.

  • Work effectively in a geographically distributed team environment.

  • Engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously

  • Work independently with users to define concepts

  • Systems are operational 24x7 and occasionally require work effort beyond standard work hours.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Minimum Education is BS in MIS, Computer Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) or with 5 years of work experience or related field or equivalent combination of related work experience and schooling in lieu of degree

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

  • 5 years' experience developing software applications in LabVIEW with 3-5 years' experience in the field of embedded software, low-level firmware development, and architecture design experience and 2 years of Tableau and/or Power BI experience, also experience with database management systems (DBMS) such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra). Knowledge of database normalization, indexing, strong SQL skills for querying databases and the able to successfully perform a rewrite and/or redesign of existing application dashboards from Labview into PowerBI or Tableau, along with experience with unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, easy to understand over the phone, and able to interact professionally with a diverse group of developers, customers, and managers.

  • Ability to write clean, modular, and efficient code having strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail as well as ability to document requirements

Qualifications Preferred:

  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies.

  • Knowledge of Citrix, CI/CD pipelines, version control tools (GitHub, GitLab, etc.)and familiarity with object-oriented programming languages such as: C#, Java, and RESTful APIs is a plus.

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
