The Global Design Lead is a key leadership role within the Design CofE and across all services designed to improve organizational prioritization, standardisation, collaboration, and innovation with respect to Belron’s BAU strategy and transformation agenda. 


A key part of these responsibilities will be to drive, support and develop close, collaborative relationships with Global, Regional and Local Functional CPI / SME’s, External Partners, and key stakeholders within the Supply Chain Management workstreams, as well as key business stakeholders in other end to end workstreams such as, Customer Experiences, Finance, People and Leadership and Process Excellence. 


You will be responsible for leading such activities as, approving Global and Sustaining functional and process designs, assessing technologies, supporting process improvement opportunities, and developing the ongoing portfolio of work to drive both transformational and business as usual activities.
You will be a key member of the Global Design CofE and expected to participate in the development of the team objectives and cross functional alignment and governance.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Global Role reporting into the Head of Supply Chain and Procurement Design building out functional and process designs within your respective Business Capability Model and 9-Box area. (Receive to Ship, including logistics)
  • Partner with key stakeholders to facilitate the intake, assessment, discovery, and prioritization of transformation programs / projects and BAU activities such as new demand.
  • Govern, protect, and uphold Global Designs and processes, only provide approval for changes if there are reasonable grounds due to Process Improvement, User Experience, Mandatory, legal, fiscal, statutory or sound commercial reasons.
  • Responsible for building relationships with the Business to ensure understanding of Business needs are represented within Design work for the relevant Business Capability Models and 9-Box area.
  • Work with the Global, regional, and local BTO’s and business stakeholders to identify and develop opportunities to drive results through data analytics and collaboration.
  • Accountable for designing and implementing processes, bringing together all elements of Business Process design to ensure complete capture of all design considerations.
  • Support group Technology teams in the implementation of systems programs, around system selection, design, implementation, and ongoing operation.
  • Support and monitor progress of multiple programs/projects within the 9-box framework and ensure alignment with overall business case objectives and value realization goals.
  • Identify, track, and help resolve cross-functional dependencies and conflicts, and ensure timely escalation of systemic risks and issues with all relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborating cross functionally to manage process improvement ideas through proven methodologies.
  • Measures process performance to understand how KPI targets are being delivered or identify gaps or issues for resolution.
  • Accountable for facilitating and assisting delivery of options for business improvements.
  • Have a good understanding of the end-to-end journey within your Functional and Process area/s for all businesses:
  • Key contact point for all processes in your remit as well as any dependencies with other Processes (end to end)
  • Resolving queries, knowledge gaps & obstacles expressed by the Business.
  • Evaluates and sign off final process design documentation with key stakeholders.

COMMUNICATION:

  • Provide timely updates on activities and statuses.
  • Communicating with stakeholders regarding expectations, requirements and any impacts of process or functional changes.
  • Cascading agreed programme messages.
  • Evaluates and signs off final process design documentation (in workshop) with key stakeholders.

ROLE EFFECTIVENESS/MEASURES:

  • Delivery of complete business designs including Process, Systems, Data and metrics alongside all functional elements including areas such as Controls, Data Security etc.
  • Promote Adherence to the Global Model Office design in their relevant areas.
  • Driving improvements in business performance through understanding of operational processes and KPIs
  • Build effective relationships and feedback from key stakeholders.
  • Effective communication and updates.

CURRENT ENVIRONMENT AND FUTURE POTENTIAL:

This is a critical part to ensuring successful transformation designs are delivered enabling the transformation programme to deliver and implement to-be solutions aligned to the to-be processes. Once implemented, there will be a need for on-going management and maintenance as well as continuous improvement opportunities to deliver further business benefit.

THE PERSON

Essential

  • Degree or equivalent educated
  • Degree level, ideally in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
  • Oracle Fusion Functional and Process knowledge in OMS, inventory Management and SCM
  • Experience working across Distribution inbound, outbound and logistics workstreams.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working in a Business Process engineering role
  • Min 5 years’ experience working across multiple delivery teams
  • Comprehensive knowledge in processes for their specific area and the real-world experience of delivering transformational projects.
  • Experience of building relationships at the highest level
  • A proven grasp of leadership and design thinking in a Continuous Improvement and agile environment.
  • Experience of working in large, complex international businesses
  • Experience in vendor and external partner relationships.
  • Commercially astute with experience of governance processes
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and build relationships with senior management is essential.
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent presenting, writing and documentation skills .
  • Strong leadership, people management and team development skills. Able to lead virtual teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative environment.
  • Travel will be required to all Belron regions (North America, Eurozone, and Rest of the World)
  • Some weekend travel may be required.
