About the Role

Safeguard Addi's partnerships by rigorously validating the identity and integrity of potential allies, proactively mitigating fraud risks and ensuring a secure and trustworthy ecosystem for growth.

What you will do

  • Risk Analysis and Partner Verification

    • Conduct KYP (Know Your Partner) reviews to ensure that all partners comply with internal risk and compliance standards.

    • Monitor and evaluate documentation and submitted information to detect inconsistencies or warning signs.

    • Escalate unusual or high-risk findings to the appropriate team members for further investigation.

    Operational Accuracy and Efficiency

    • Ensure accuracy and completeness in the execution of each KYP process, following established protocols and quality guidelines.

    • Manage daily tasks with a strong focus on organization and time management to meet expected delivery timelines.

    • Propose improvements to internal procedures that could enhance the speed or reliability of the verification process.

    Team Support and Continuous Learning

    • Participate in team calibration sessions to align criteria and improve consistency in evaluations.

    • Stay updated on internal policy changes and contribute to the knowledge base of the KYP team.

    • Assist in the onboarding and training of new team members by sharing good practices and tools.

What we’re looking for

  • Technical Expertise in Compliance & Verification:

    • Has a good understanding of local regulations related to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Countering the Financing of Terrorism (CFT), as well as KYC/KYP standards for merchant onboarding.

    • Will apply this knowledge to accurately assess partner risk profiles, ensuring compliance with regulations and effective use of verification platforms to identify discrepancies.

    • Experience working within a fintech or banking environment, understanding the specific fraud risks and compliance requirements of these industries.

  • Analytical Rigor & Pattern Recognition:

    • Demonstrates the ability to meticulously analyze complex data sets, identify subtle patterns, inconsistencies, and potential red flags indicative of fraudulent activity.

    • Will leverage analytical skills to scrutinize submitted documents and database search results, making informed decisions about partner legitimacy and escalating suspicious cases.

  • Detail-Oriented Execution & Accuracy:

    • Executes tasks with a high degree of thoroughness and precision, ensuring all information is carefully reviewed and accurately recorded, minimizing errors in the KYP process.

    • Will consistently perform accurate reviews of partner documentation and data, maintaining a high standard of quality in all KYP assessments.

  • Data-Driven Judgment & Risk Assessment:

    • Makes well-informed decisions regarding the legitimacy of potential partners based on verifiable evidence and data analysis, demonstrating a strong understanding of risk factors.

    • Will use data insights to assess partner risk levels, contributing to informed decisions on onboarding and ongoing monitoring.

  • Clear Communication & Documentation:

    • Communicates findings and recommendations clearly, concisely, and with appropriate detail, both verbally and in written reports and documentation.

    • Will effectively document the KYP process, findings, and any identified risks, ensuring clear communication with relevant stakeholders.

  • Agile Adaptability:

    • Demonstrates the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies, verification procedures, and evolving regulatory requirements in a fast-paced fintech environment.

    • Will readily embrace new tools and adapt to changes in KYP processes and regulations, ensuring continuous improvement in fraud prevention efforts.
