Job Description
What you’ll be doing:

Develop, deploy, and optimize applications on KX Insights and kdb+.
-
Design and implement real-time data processing pipelines for high-velocity streaming data.
-
Integrate KX Insights with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and third-party systems.
-
Optimize queries and scripts for performance and scalability.
-
Work with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to create actionable insights.

Ensure best practices in data security, governance, and compliance.
Qualifications
Experience and skills required:
- 3+ years kdb+ development experience
-
Proven experience with KX Insights and kdb+.
-
Strong knowledge of q programming language.
-
Experience with real-time data processing and time-series analytics.

Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

Strong SQL and NoSQL database knowledge.
-
Experience with data ingestion tools (Kafka, Spark, Flink, etc.).
-
Understanding of machine learning and AI integration (preferred but not required).
- Minimum 2:1 degree in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science or any other scientific/engineering discipline
Experience and skills desired*:

- Contributes to company ecosystem
- Experience of other programming languages e.g. Python
- Cloud development experience
- Experience of other data solutions, specifically Time Series Experience in an investment bank or large financial organisation
- People management experience
- Technical lead of project or sub-team
