Let’s start with the role
The Knowledge Base Specialist is responsible for developing engaging and effective learning experiences that align with organizational goals and objectives. Working closely with subject matter experts, stakeholders, and learning teams, she/he will create innovative instructional materials and solutions, including eLearning modules, instructor-led training, blended learning programs, and performance support tools. Your focus will be on crafting learner-centered experiences that ensure knowledge transfer, skill development, and performance improvement, while leveraging adult learning theories, instructional technologies, and data-driven approaches to enhance learning outcomes.
As a Knowledge Base Specialist you will:
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to assess learning needs and define course objectives.
- Design and develop learning programs using instructional design models like ADDIE or Agile.
- Create a variety of learning assets including eLearning, simulations, videos, and interactive resources.
- Implement best practices in adult learning theories and instructional strategies.
- Evaluate learning effectiveness and use data to optimize and refine learning programs.
- Ensure all learning solutions are engaging, scalable, and aligned with company goals.
- Stay current with emerging trends in instructional design, technology, and learning methodologies.
- Track training completion for compliance reasons.
- Conduct 3T sessions with trainers and relevant stakeholders for training created, ensuring proper documentation.
What you’ll bring:
- Solid working experience in a relative role.
- Strong knowledge of instructional design principles, adult learning theories, and learning technologies.
- Attention to detail and the ability to run, review, interpret, and analyze data from various sources.
- Ability to translate complex information into easily digestible learning experiences.
- Experience with authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate).
- Familiarity with Customer Journey processes.
- Fluency in English.
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and eLearning standards like SCORM.
- Excellent writing, communication, teaching, collaboration and project management skills.
- Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
