Your job, as Key Supplier Operational Lead (FTC) within our Procurement & Operations Team will be to act as the local representative for our Virginia site operations involving our suppliers to drive efficiency, service and cost reduction, manage supplier performance and site financial performance and reporting, demand management and Business Continuity. Working closely with Global Buyers and multiple cross-functional stakeholders internally, an excellent communicator who is KPI driven and self-motiated will be successful in this 12 x month FTC opportunity.

Main responsibilities:

In collaboration with internal and external stakeholders identify opportunities in service, cost and sustainability, including offsetting ‘Headwinds’

Coordination of all the functions required at site (DC, Regulatory, Quality, Production, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, SMS) to roll out savings initiative’s actions.

Manage the execution on time of the action plans for all initiatives agreed related to supplier

Coordinate E2E QA process in case of suppliers/specifications change including Raw Material Evaluation (RME) process

Act as a site’s single point of contact for all supplier operational issues (with support of Global procurement)

Drive supplier collaboration and innovation across operations (with Global procurement)

Working closely with the commercial team to ensure M&S initiatives match brand strategy plans

Lead structured root cause problem solving to identify & implement actions for the problem defined ensuring no repeat issues

Lead Top to Top (T2T) meetings with key suppliers as per agreed schedule ensuring agenda and minutes are provided in a timely manner

Own full site performance related to material spend, finding ways to reduce spend across all categories, including raw material, packaging, consumables, contracts eg Energy, Freight

Own monthly reporting as part of financial cycles such as monthly Cost2Win (C2W),Win With Procurement (WWP)

Act as key liaison with Global Procurement/AMEA M&S Project Lead during annual budget cycle

With Supply-chain evaluate and optimize demand vs market situation addressing with suppliers and Global buyers risks to supply or cost performance

With the Site Supply Head, establish and execute Business Continuity Strategy for both Raw Materials and Packaging, also determining appropriate split of dual source taking into account costs, lead times, relationship etc in conjunction with Global Procurement

All these tasks will have to be performed through strong collaboration with Procurement Category teams, M&S Global Business Unit and/or cluster heads, SMS, Finance teams, legal teams, technical teams, etc. operating as a single team focused on a common supplier strategy and site performance

Be an active member of the M&S Site Leadership team
About you
Qualifications:
-
Degree qualified in Business or other related field
Experience:
-
A track record in a Procurement, Project Management or Operational role within FMCG or FMCH (Fast Moving Consumer Healthcare) Industry
-
Prior exposure to Manufacturing & Supply and/or Performance Improvement/ Transformation projects is a bonus
Soft Skills & Technical Competencies:
-
High level communication and inter-personal skills, especially in a cross-functional context
-
Commercial accumen and Financial skills for reporting, and presenting
-
Excellent negotiation skills and experience in supplier reviews
-
Exposure to a Technical background in Manufacturing, Engineering, Procurement or Sourcing preferred
-
A thirst for learning and hunger for knowledge, self-starter who can motivate themselves in a stand alone role
