Job Description
SCOPE:
The Key Account Manager Manager helps Sirtex achieve its sales objectives of Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Kerala states by actively managing the current key accounts and developing newer accounts, managing the sales budget, and working with other functional team members and distributors to actively implement the resources needed for achieving the sales budget and to execute the agreed upon plan successfully.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for providing annual sales plan, quarterly updates, revisions and necessary modifications in line with the approved India business plan
- Develops Territory sales targets and expense budget in conjunction with the National Sales Manager, which details activities to follow during the financial year
- Manages all sales expenses.
- Actively works with the NSM in managing KOL relationships, speaker development programs and conference activities
- Works with cross-functional team to appropriately resource Sales needs
- Keeps current with all continuing education on latest information related to disease states and the changing business environment
- Demonstrates ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees
- Builds trust, values others, communicates effectively, drives execution, fosters innovation, focuses on the customer, collaborates with others, solves problems creatively and demonstrates high integrity
- Maintains professional internal and external relationships that meet company core values
- Proactively establishes and maintains effective working team relationships with all support departments
- Performs other duties and reporting requirements as assigned by National Sales Manager - India
Qualifications
- Science and/or Business degree
- Minimum of 10 years’ related industry experience, experience in Oncology and/or Interventional Radiology
- Previous sales and marketing experience
- Minimum 5 years sales management experience in medical devices or pharmaceutical industry including people management experience
- Ability to effectively deal with a variety of people ranging from patients to HCPs as well as different internal functions
- Demonstrate initiative and resourcefulness
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements
- Strong leadership skills
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
- Undergo all formal Training Events as may be directed from time-to-time.
- Observe and comply with all Sirtex Corporate Policies.
- Work within, and ensure adherence to Quality System procedures, work instructions and other Quality System requirements.
- Work within, and ensure adherence to Health, Safety and Environment Management System procedures, instructions and other requirements.
