As the face of Ipsen in Rare Liver Diseases, you will be the single point of contact for healthcare professionals (HCPs) and associated stakeholders, possessing intimate knowledge of the entire patient journey. Your focus will be on delivering a personalized, high-value customer experience, optimizing the patient journey, and improving outcomes for patients with rare liver diseases.

Main responsibilities / job expectations

This role requires a proactive solution focused mindset where you can successfully work alone and within a high performing matrix team.

Build business account strategies with practical insights from the field, applying the company vision, and develop the territory business plans to follow this strategy.

A deep understanding of the entire patient journey and the ability to work collaboratively with accounts to optimise the pathway to care

Establish and pull through local market access through successful navigation of hospital/ICB access pathways

Clear understanding of local NHS environment, priorities

Ability to build ‘partner of choice’ relationships with customer/accounts by bringing value solutions, aligning appropriate internal and external stakeholders and leveraging environment information/insights to Ipsen strategy

Scientific and clinical knowledge of specialty care is essential, in rare diseases or liver would be Ideal

Strong stakeholder engagement ability to develop HCP advocates to drive change of patient management/patient pathway within HCO

Excellent questioning/listening skills to understand current service to uncover potential opportunity to improve patient care/pathway

Ability to orchestrate the omnichannel customer experience

Excellent business analytics, planning skills and strategic thinking ensuring appropriate prioritization of opportunities aligning Ipsen priorities with those of NHS

Proactive working with the cross functional matrix team to act swiftly and decisively on account developments

Self-motivated. proactive, accountable problem solver driven to succeed

Timely and accurate use of the CRM system

Ensures all activities and projects are carried out in compliance within Ipsen’s Code of Ethics, the ABPI code and local NHS guidelines
Knowledge, abilities & experience
-
Life science degree or higher qualification is needed together with relevant experience

Proven pharmaceutical experience in a specialty care therapy disease area (hepatology and/or rare disease desired but not essential)

Proven track record of sales & business management success in a specialty care setting
-
Up to date NHS knowledge and knowledge of local market access/ payor experience is essential

Experience of formulary and patient pathways
-
Success in leading multiple stakeholders and implementing change across an HCO
-
Proven experience in demonstrating a solution and proactive approach to NHS challenge
-
Strong communication skills – written, oral and presentation

Full driving license
