We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Strategic Key Account Manager with a proficient experience to join our pharmaceutical sales team in Ireland. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling blue chip accounts, building strong relationships with key collaborators, and driving sales growth within the pharmaceutical industry. This role requires a strategic demeanour, outstanding interpersonal skills, and a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical market landscape.
You will sell chromatography, mass spectrometry, spectroscopy, informatics and automation solutions and proactively develop and implement a successful sales strategy to exceed target. You will be encouraged to work closely with both our service sales and consumables sales teams to ensure you gain maximum revenue returns whilst defending the Agilent installed base. To aid you in fulfilling this role, you will be supported by field-based Product Specialists and Application Engineers.
Your key responsibilities will include:
• Achieve/ exceed all sales targets
• Responsible for developing trusted and consultative customer relationships to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction
• Work in close association with Agilent stakeholders to maintain and develop strategic relationships within the key accounts.
• Proactively prospect for new business within the assigned accounts, developing new medium- and long-term opportunities
• Identify and work with key opinion leaders to understand future requirements to develop and support the successful growth of your accounts.
• Share insights and findings with internal stakeholders to advise strategic planning, product roadmaps, and marketing campaigns
• Proactively drive the sales cycle and forecast sales accurately
For this role, you will be working remotely combined with travel to customer sites across Ireland (a company car will be available to you).
Qualifications
We are looking for a motivated individual with the following background:
• University Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or other applied field or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Significant experience of selling Analytical Laboratory Instrumentation (such as HPLC, GC, mass spectrometry, spectroscopy)
• Demonstrable knowledge of the Ireland Life Sciences and Biopharma/ Pharma markets
• Fluent in English

Additional Details
This job has a full time weekly schedule. It includes the option to work remotely.
