Job Description

Peterson Cat has a need for a Key Account Coordinator at our Salem, OR location.

SUMMARY

This position performs customer service and administrative duties related to rental of equipment at all branch locations to "Key Accounts."

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Answer telephones and process rental requests

• Write rental reservations, check on customer’s credit and insurance availability, accurately communicate equipment & attachment availability to customers, set up transportation of equipment to complete rental transactions.

• Complete rental "call offs" and issue release number(s) to customers

• Transmit & communicate reservations and rental call offs with branch personnel.

• Review rental agreement preparation to ensure accuracy (PO#'s, correct rates, contact names/#'s, sales #, etc.)

• Complete rental invoicing-where required.

• Set up 3rd-party hauling if Peterson trucks are unavailable.

• Review all invoicing daily to ensure accuracy.

• Produce on rent reports for "key account" contacts weekly.

• Track "key account" rental revenue year to date and year over year

• Maintain "key account" contacts in Sales Link.

• Enter quotes and other important info in Sales link.

• Successfully operate Peterson's Key Account phone and voicemail systems

• Understand and archive all Caterpillar and Peterson executed contracts for "key accounts”.

• Maintain a record of all unfilled (lost) rental requests.

• Maintain a working knowledge competitor’s practices and rental rates.

• Assist in the preparation of additional rental reports as assigned.

• Perform outbound calls to "key account" contacts to monitor Peterson's level of service, billing accuracy and upcoming rental equipment requirements.

• Propose new types of inventory requested by "key accounts" to Rental GM and Rental Inventory Manager

• Perform joint sales calls with Rental Reps with each Key Account annually

• Fosters customer relations to improve customer loyalty and satisfaction.

• Other duties as assigned.

• Wear company provided uniform (shirt) when performing the above-mentioned job functions.

• Work to build trust among peers with reliability, credibility, and is not full of self.

• Participate in JumpStart meetings regularly; allow others to lead meeting and helps to interject enthusiasm and energy into meetings.

• Maintain punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.  

QUALIFICATIONS

Associates Degree from a fully accredited college; and at least 1 year of experience as a Peterson Rental Coordinator; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
