BICS is looking for a Kamailio VoIP Engineer

Job Location:

• Madrid, Spain

Working Mode:

• Hybrid work (2 days per week working from the office on average)

Role and Responsibilities:

We are seeking for a senior Engineer with depth experience in VoIP domain and Kamailio framework to participate in the implementation of a new innovative voice routing solution.

Her/his primary mission is to make a significant contribution to the design, development, and implementation of the new solution and to ensure the optimal usage of Kamilio server in the project.

In close collaboration with the software developer engineers and BICS Engineering, and with a DevOps mindset, you will:

• Contribute to the technical design, build, and testing of new highly available best-in-class VoIP routing solution.
• Participate in the creation of the testing environment which can enable testing automation.
• deploy in the validation environments and in production and support the validation and commissioning processes.
• automate operations tasks (installation, monitoring, etc.)
• Perform off-hour deployment and maintenance works.

Your skills:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience

Core Competencies:

• 8+ years of experience with SIP and other voice protocols
• Demonstrable solid experience in Kamailio framework. Ability to create and write modules for Kamailio.
• Experience in designing and deploying highly available and scalable VoIP infrastructures across different data centers.
• Experience/familiar with linux environments.
• Experience with VoIP testing tools (functional, load, and performance testing)
• Working knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps principles and tools (Gitlab, ansible, etc.)

 Preferred Skills:

• Programming experience with Java, C, Python, and shell script.
• Experience with relational databases (MySQL,MariaDB)

Other Skills:

• Fluent in Spanish and English.
