Job Description

What you will do

As a Scripting Specialist you will be part of both the US project teams as well as the Global Scripting team. You will join our Hoboken office, working together with colleagues on scripting surveys for our market research projects.

Imagine yourself being involved in the following:

• Scripting surveys in our dedicated software (Sawtooth software) and use HTML / CSS / JavaScript / Perl to improve survey layouts for higher respondent engagement
• Joining project teams on structural basis and take responsibility of scripting the surveys (often including one or more of SKIM’s proprietary solutions, e.g., virtual shopping screens) in an accurate and timely manner
• Performing checks to ensure the scripts and survey logics are error free
• Using experience to help internal project teams, advising on best practice and assisting with problem solving
• Being open to new ways of working and have a passion for seeking out new ideas to assist senior scripters in implementing new solutions for improved efficiency of the current way of working

Desired skills and experience

• A passion for collaboration. This is the number one essential for any role at SKIM!
• Relevant degree, preferably with programming courses (e.g. Informatics, Statistics, Marketing, Computer Science, DevOps)
• Experience working with MS Office, especially Excel
• Proficiency in one of the following programming languages: HTML, JavaScript, CSS or Perl

Other than that, the points below are a great addition to the essentials:

• Knowledge or experience with market research
• Up to 2 years of experience in scripting quantitative survey data in a market research company
