What you’ll do
-
Assist with tax compliance, prepare BAS/IAS filings, ensure accurate payment of GST and PAYG, assist with income tax return in collaboration with external advisors, and handle payroll tax matters.

Assist with business modeling and rollover forecasts.

Oversee card expenses, employee disbursements, accruals, and invoice tracking.

Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations.

Handle superannuation payments.

Assist the Finance Director and Financial Accountant with process improvements, financial analysis, and various projects, including ad hoc tasks as required

Manage and oversee accounts payable function.

Support the external audit process by providing information and addressing audit queries, working with external advisors as needed.

Work across finance and operations to extract, transform, and analyze large volumes of data.

Support the operations team in understanding the backend of the business and assist with client money reconciliation as required by ASIC regulations.
What you need to have

Currently undergoing CPA/CA Certification or willing to start

SQL understanding and experience with MySQL will be highly valued

A background in financial services and FX exposure is preferred but not mandatory.

A strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, organizational skills, and a sense of ownership and accountability.

Comprehensive knowledge of accounting standards and key concepts.

Proactive and process-driven with a focus on continuous improvement.

Business / Commerce / Finance / Accounting related degree

Proficiency in MS Office with intermediate/advanced excel skills
