Junior Finance & Business Operations Manager

Fluency in German (spoken and written) at a minimum of C1 level is required for this position.

Your role at Kittl

The Finance team at Kittl manages cash flow, budgeting, and payroll. They ensure effective financial planning, control expenditures, and oversee employee compensation. 

You’ll support our Finance team with accounts payable and receivable processes, monthly closings, and various administrative tasks—collaborating with both German- and English-speaking stakeholders. With a focus on quality, you’ll help improve existing workflows and contribute to building scalable processes as Kittl continues to grow. This role reports to our Finance Lead.

What you’ll do

• Support financial processes: Assist in managing accounts payable and receivable to help ensure smooth day-to-day financial operations

• Assist with monthly closing: Contribute to pre-accounting tasks and collaborate with tax advisors and accountants during monthly closings across international entities.

• Maintain internal systems: Help manage key data systems, including ERPs, HRIS, and spend management tools, ensuring accuracy and consistency

• Contribute to payroll operations: Work alongside the People team to support payroll processes and ensure timely and accurate execution

• Be a reliable partner: Serve as a trusted point of contact for internal and external administrative tasks and requests

What you’ll need

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, business or similar field

• Language: German fluency (C1 or higher) & business proficiency with English (B2 or higher)

• Efficiency: Demonstrates high reliability in timing and quality of work, efficiently simplifying complex situations to deliver quick and smart results

• Experience: Some exposure to working in a startup or cross-functional operations role. Finance experience is a plus

• Accounting: Familiarity with German HGB and US GAAP accounting standards is a plus
