Job Description
Role:
As part of the Digital team at IS Flexible Generation Europe, the Junior Digital Product Manager will support the full project lifecycle of new digital products and be responsible for servicing some of the already existing applications.
Responsibilities:
As a Junior Digital Product Manager, you will work under the supervision of an experienced Product Owner and act as the link between the business (specifically the people in power plants worldwide) and our software factory.
During the creation of new applications, you will help steer the project team and guide stakeholders throughout the project. Through workshops and brainstorming sessions, you will analyze and challenge business requirements with the goal of translating them into functional specifications for our software factory. To succeed, a hands-on approach is needed for problem-solving, testing, and change management while focusing on quality output, time to market, and budget control.
You will also be involved in maintaining and servicing the existing apps in your portfolio. This includes tracking potential improvements suggested by clients and scheduling regular upgrades.
Qualifications
General Requirements:
- The job is mainly located in the Brussels area but requires a willingness to travel worldwide regularly.
- Excellent knowledge of English, French, and Dutch OR Spanish and English.
- A Master’s degree is mandatory. Some experience as an IT project leader or digital product manager is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to switch between business and IT language, and to deliver quality workshops, presentations, and demonstrations to clients.
- Strong customer service skills, with an aptitude for working with personnel at all organizational levels.
- Flexibility and adaptability in an evolving environment; ability to work on multiple projects and assignments simultaneously.
- Strong creative thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills with an emphasis on developing innovative solutions to complex problems, including identifying alternatives or temporary solutions.
- Open communication and a team-player spirit; it is important to keep the team updated and support each other in our fast-moving environment.
Technical Requirements:
- Experience with agile project methodology, software development, or knowledge of Azure DevOps / TFS is a plus.
