We are currently recruiting a Junior Designer with experience in hydraulics and drainage design, to join our busy and expanding experienced team. The team provides assessment, concept, feasibility, preliminary and detailed designs on a wide range of projects. Our clients work for private and public sector and include long term Framework Agreements with numerous Local Authorities together with Design and Build commissions for many major Contractors. Our group has an established track record of successfully delivering water designs for many years, throughout the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand among others. You may have the opportunity to work on some of the most iconic Transportation and Water projects, being part of a diverse and multicultural team for Enterprise Capabilities.

The responsibilities of this role include:

• Performs specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
• Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
• Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
• Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments.
• Identifies discrepancies in results.
• Provides guidance to entry level engineers.
• Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision.
• Independently performs all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience in hydraulics and drainage design, with a strong desire to advance a technical career in the water field.
• Proficiency in various hydraulics and hydrology software packages, including Flood Modeller, TUFLOW, HEC-RAS, InfoWorks ICM, HEC-HMS and more, with experience in developing flood models and hydrologic models for small to moderate-sized watersheds.
• Familiarity with CAD (2D and 3D) software, including Autodesk and Bentley packages such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and OpenRoads Designer.
• Knowledge of SWMM, Epanet, Bentley, Innovyze packages, 12D, and similar software is highly valued.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in Civil, Environmental or Water Engineering or a related field.
