Java Software Engineer

The Role

We are seeking a highly qualified and talented technologist to join our Schonfeld Strategic Execution (SSE) team. The SSE team is focused on building a state-of-the-art next generation latency sensitive algo trading platform.

What you’ll do 

Java Software Engineers take on a wide range of responsibilities and challenges. They develop, deploy, test and support existing applications as well as new features added to the platforms. You will participate in an Agile framework, continuously improving and expanding platform capabilities based on rapidly changing business requirements as well as providing Level 3 support.

What you need:

• Junior / Mid-Level Java development skills
• Experience with Linux
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong ownership experience and a track record of delivering results
• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

We’d love if you had:

• Experience with FIX
• Experience working in financial services
• Experience with equity trading

The base pay for this role is expected to be between $160,000 and $180,000. The expected base pay range is based on information at the time this post was generated. This role may also be eligible for other forms of compensation such as a performance bonus and a competitive benefits package. Actual compensation for the successful candidate will be determined based on a variety of factors such as skills, qualifications, and experience.
