Your role / Responsibilities:
Together with our growing team of software developers and QA engineers in R&D, your assignment will be to further develop the core part of one of the main Multidomain Master Data Management solutions. As a technical expert you will have the chance to make a difference and feel the importance and relevance of the work you do, and there will constantly be an exciting new challenge to follow, while looking into the always very ambitious roadmap of Client's software product.
Furthermore, you will:
- Analyze user requirements to define robust application designs.
- Develop Java based applications; creating back-end and database functionality.
- Resolve complex technical tasks writing secure, reliable, scalable and maintainable code.
- Collaborate with the team making sure deliverables are delivered on time with high quality.
- Implement and execute relevant Unit & Integration tests; debug and resolve technical problems that arise.
- Support in project estimation, planning and risk management activities.
The team
You will become a part of the R&D department, where we use the principles of SCRUM/SAFE quite intensively. We mostly work in teams consisting of 3-4 experienced developers and 1 QA engineer, and are challenged by Product Owners who know what they are talking about. Within R&D we have 120+ colleagues

The candidate
You have a flexible and proactive attitude and can work analytically even with tasks that are not very well defined. You want to get things done, and you can communicate in a constructive manner clarifying your knowledge to your colleagues in the team.
Furthermore, you have:
- A Master's degree in Computer Science or similar
- 2+ years of solid experience in Java development
- Experience with ETL related work on JSON/XML based formats and data standards
- Experience with Web Service Architecture based on REST, GraphQL, and/or SOAP
What will set you apart, but not required:
- Experience with server-based architecture (parallelism, performance, scalability, security)
- Knowledge of no-sql database such as Apache Cassandra, Mongo DB
- Knowledge of SQL and RDBMS (Oracle)
- Understanding of the potential of Cloud computing including Micro-Service architecture principles
- Experience with React
