What We Offer
Major Tasks & responsibilities:

Ensure that any activity related to International Custom & Trade Compliance Thailand will be done compliantly to align with Covestro directive and laws/ regulations.

Monitor and update the laws/ regulations for International Custom & Trade to stakeholders. Also, develop guidance and implement processes in Covestro TH in timely manner (align with laws/ regulations and Covestro Foreign Trade compliance directive)

Act as Deputy Export Control Officer (“ECO”) for Covestro Thailand to ensure that any activity related with the Export Control for Covestro Thailand will be done compliantly to align with Covestro directive and laws/ local regulations (in scope of TH, PH, MY) and provide guidance / knowledge to support the key stakeholders.

Provide guidance and supports on foreign trade law compliance related topics and questions to key stakeholders

Document, investigate and solve foreign trade law related cases and report to country ECO

Manage / update internal HS code classification/review HS Code requisition process and drive implementation in relevant functions.

Perform HS code classification and update in HS Code master list to ensure that the key stakeholders are using the up-to-date HS Code to do customs declaration (both import and export), compliantly

Collaborate with ITC Global in case there is discrepancy between HS Code in SAP and HS Code classification.

Perform centralization for the pre-classification customs ruling application for Covestro Thailand

Be responsible for Thai Customs challenges on HS code / declaration elements, and support key stakeholders to resolving HS codes issues with Customs authorities; as well as export control challenges from related authorities.

Monitor Tariff code related rulings/regulations update, as well as for export control regulatory changes in Customs and other related authorities, and analyze impact to Covestro

Support any assignment to the Head of Supply Chain & Logistics ASEA
What You Offer
Qualifications
-
Bachelor degree in chemical, business, and other related fields.

5-8 years of solid working experience in Customs Import/ Export area, and experience in HS code classification, related process management and
-
defense with Customs challenges.

Demonstrated understanding of PRC export control laws and regulations.
-
Working experience in export control area and license application/consultation knowledge.
-
Good communication skills. Excellent and demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, writing, interpersonal.

Ability to work independently, exhibits ownership and initiations.
-
Good English, Mandarin both in written and verbal.
