About the Role:
The incumbent will role model RBG’s values, mission and vision and ensure all business activities are carried out in accordance with these guiding principles.
Key Responsibility:
- Ensure awareness of, and compliance with, all policies, procedures and work practices, as they relate to the role.
- Ensure tasks are carried out professionally, effectively and efficiently and within company standards, policies and guidelines.
- Ensure all decisions made are not obscured by bias and are in accordance with the Company’s Delegation of Authority.
- Comply with all H&S policies and procedures.
- Oversees the everyday operations of the company’s computer and network systems
- Handle set-up and installation of systems, as well as troubleshooting, evaluation of systems performance and maintenance
- Packaging of software applications and SOE image administration & deployment.
- Monitoring and reporting of system availability, performance and security.
- Documenting procedures, system configuration & issue resolution information.
- Configuring and maintaining the networked computer system, including hardware, system software, and applications.
- Diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, networking, and system issues when they arise.
- Monitoring system performance to ensure everything runs smoothly and securely.
- Interface directly with the help desk and IT support technicians to resolve and document hardware and software troubleshooting tickets, bug reports and errors.
- Perform daily system monitoring and backup procedures to ensure data security, availability and integrity of required resources, and proper recording of application logs and reviews\
- Participate in required compliance and QA activities as needed
Suitable applicants will have/be:
- Experience in administering Office 365.
- Experience in administering Microsoft Skype for Business
- Relevant Degree or Diploma in Information Systems or Information Technology.
- Microsoft MCSE certification or similar.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in system administration or promoted internally with adequate previous Desktop Support experience.
- Expert-level proficiency in a minimum of two unique operating systems
- Familiarity with SQL and database operations.
