The Role
Your Mission: Create structure, shape relationships, drive processes forward
We are establishing a brand-new and strategically important role within our IT department: As a Supplier & Contract Management Specialist, you will take charge of building and shaping a centralized hub for managing all IT-related service providers, contracts, and licenses. Your task is to bring together existing workflows and documentation, streamline them, and develop future-ready processes that support compliance, transparency, and operational excellence.
This role offers a high degree of responsibility and creative freedom – you will be building this function from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and continuously develop a centralized supplier and contract management function within the IT department
- Maintain and coordinate all IT-related contracts, including renewals, terminations, extensions, and license volumes
- Oversee license management across various software platforms – including demand planning, license tracking, and cost control
- Manage IT suppliers and service providers, including selection, onboarding, ongoing evaluation, and relationship management
- Implement and manage an ISO27001-based supplier management process, including regular questionnaires and assessments related to IT security, compliance, and data protection
- Document and maintain all relevant contracts, agreements, service descriptions, and security assessments
- Act as a key liaison between IT, procurement, data protection, information security, and other departments
Key Requirements
- Completed commercial or IT-related training, ideally with further education in contract, license or IT service management
- Experience in contract administration, license management, or supplier relationship management – preferably in an IT context
- Solid understanding of IT-related requirements, especially in the context of data protection, information security, and ISO27001
- Highly structured and detail-oriented approach, with a proactive mindset and desire to build new processes
- Strong communication skills and confidence in dealing with internal stakeholders and external vendors
- Very good written and spoken German and English
