Your new department

Digital Infrastructure (DI) is a department within NXP IT and has the mission to Secure NXP Growth by delivering Agile, Reliable and Secure IT products and Services against and at benchmark costs, investing in a workforce that drives value for our customers.

Your new team

In NXP our hands-on IT support on sites is delivered by a large group of, NXP managed, On-Site Support engineers (OSS). These resources are key in delivering the best User Experience to the users of all our IT systems by locally delivering IT equipment, setting up IT services and being able to cater to local demands. They report directly into the Site IT Managers and are focused on the local requirements, albeit adhering to global standards. However, to ensure that we have a uniform approach to end-user support in Europe, we are looking for an OSS Lead in the EMEA region.

This person will oversee the activities of the OSS in the region, creates reports and regularly shares this information with key stakeholders. When needed this person will also jump in when there is a local requirement in Romania for assistance, but in general keeps a constant eye on the workload for the OSS in EMEA.

The position is placed directly under the Service Delivery Director for EMEA.

Your new role

  • Main point of contact for all OSS in the EMEA region
  • Management, monitoring and control of IT services delivered by the EMEA OSS
  • Follow up on major issues, escalations and complaints
  • Involved in all global and local projects which have potential impact on site and user community, within EMEA
  • Work with peers in APAC and AMEC to improve global services and processes
  • Work on improvement plans, recommendations and observations as outcome of surveys or other forms of measurement
  • Ensure standards and policy requirements are implemented properly on site to secure certifications
  • Drive and implement process improvement initiatives for the EMEA region
  • Good relationship with colleagues, local IT team and users. Enthusiastic and positive mindset.
  • Work in close collaboration with Site Managers and Service Delivery Directors

What you will need to succeed

  • A college or university degree with business management orientation, completed training as an IT system administrator or comparable qualification, as well as initial work experience would be an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of the planning and implementation of IT projects of various scope
  • Solid experience in the field of technical documentation and the ability to present complex interrelationships in an easy and understandable way.
  • Enthusiasm for result-oriented communication with different stakeholders and the transfer of knowledge in the context of training and seminars.
  • Good IT background knowledge covering multiple domains including network basics, workplace and applications support, with a plus for R&D field

  • Experience with reporting in ServiceNow

Contract: This is a fulltime position with a permanent contract
