You will oversee the planning and execution of software and applications. To do so, you will manage an internal team and partner with external suppliers and use your deep technical and market knowledge and thorough understanding of our business goals find and deploy the right software and application solutions for the future. You will support programs to implement regional and global software and application strategies, offer input to financial planning and controls for software and applications on a regional and global level, collaborate with management and follow-up on requisitions, purchase orders, invoices, and payments, explores opportunities to leverage scale and drive savings, and ensure that support service level objectives and key performance indicators are accomplished.

Job Description Overview: The Logistics MDS Program Manager plays a critical leadership role within the Mondelez Digital Services (MDS) Customer Service & Logistics (CS&L) team. The focus of this role is to drive digital transformation within the transportation domain, ensuring the delivery of technology-driven solutions that enhance operational efficiency, improve integration across logistics systems, and support the strategic goals of Mondelez's supply chain.
Role Outline: As the Logistics MDS Program Manager for Transportation Solutions, you will take a strategic leadership role in overseeing transportation-related digital initiatives. Your primary responsibility will be managing the delivery of critical transportation solutions, such as Descartes Route Planner, Oracle Transportation Management (OTM), and SAP Transportation Management (SAP TM), across the United States. This role requires you to champion digital transformation, lead complex projects, and foster collaboration across various business and technology stakeholders to deliver seamless logistics solutions.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead digital transformation initiatives in transportation logistics, including planning and executing transportation, customs, and track-and-trace application strategies to support business goals.
  • Oversee large-scale technology programs aimed at optimizing transportation management processes, focusing on solutions like Descartes Route Planner, OTM, and SAP TM to deliver enhanced visibility, automation, and operational efficiency.
  • Serve as a strategic leader in digital transportation projects, providing guidance to project teams, managing external vendors, and ensuring alignment with the company's logistics and transportation objectives.
  • Drive the identification and management of technology solutions and vendors, ensuring selected platforms meet current and future business needs, are compliant with industry standards, and adhere to internal approval and funding protocols.
  • Exhibit exceptional leadership by motivating cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration among solution providers, and ensuring successful project execution in line with defined goals, budgets, and timelines.
  • Leverage deep expertise in transportation processes to integrate digital solutions that enhance performance, streamline operations, and drive automation in transportation and logistics operations.
  • Build and nurture strong partnerships with global and regional business leads, ensuring transportation solutions align with broader supply chain, warehousing, and manufacturing initiatives.
  • Spearhead efforts to drive improvements in strategic KPIs, focusing on operational excellence, supply chain transparency, real-time tracking, and automated workflows.
  • Ensure compliance with security and privacy regulations, conducting thorough assessments and working with vendors to meet industry and organizational standards, such as Information Security and Privacy Impact Assessments.
  • Lead contract negotiations and manage vendor relationships, working closely with procurement and legal teams to secure favorable terms and maintain strong partnerships.

  • Proven leadership in digital transformation: Experience leading large-scale digital transportation projects, with the ability to navigate the complexities of integrating new technologies into existing logistics frameworks.
  • Strategic vision: Expertise in shaping transportation technology strategies that align with long-term business goals, enabling efficiency, transparency, and automation across logistics operations.
  • Exceptional program management skills: Demonstrated ability to oversee multiple large-scale projects or programs simultaneously, ensuring successful execution, stakeholder alignment, and adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Deep understanding of transportation management solutions: Strong functional knowledge of transportation processes and the implementation of systems such as Descartes, OTM, and SAP TM, ensuring operational effectiveness and cost-efficiency.
  • Stakeholder management and communication: Ability to engage with senior leadership, cross-functional business teams, and external vendors, fostering strong relationships to ensure alignment and project success.
  • Vendor management expertise: Skills in identifying, selecting, and managing technology vendors, including negotiation, performance management, and ensuring that solutions meet business requirements and strategic objectives.


Educational and Professional Qualifications:

  • MBA highly preferred, demonstrating a strategic mindset and advanced business acumen in logistics and supply chain management.
  • Certifications in Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2) and relevant transportation technologies (e.g., SAP TM, Descartes) are advantageous, further highlighting your expertise in managing complex projects and digital solutions.
