Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Release Manager to oversee and coordinate the release management processes for multiple Salesforce organizations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing Salesforce Standard releases, refreshing full copy sandboxes, and creating and managing Developer sandboxes. This role requires strong communication and negotiation skills to effectively interact with various stakeholders, including development teams and business users. The applicant will be part of an offshore and onshore team.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate Salesforce releases across multiple organisations including risk assessment, planning, deployment and post release activities.
- Monitor and track release progress, identifying and mitigating risks and issues.
- Develop and maintain Release Calendars for each instance of salesforce.
- Ensure compliance with change management and release management best practices.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams both onshore and offshore to ensure smooth and efficient release cycles.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to negotiate timelines, requirements, and expectations.
- Oversee the regular refresh of all full copy sandboxes in alignment with the release calendar.
- Manage the creation and refreshing of Developer sandboxes as needed.
- Implement best practices to continuously improve release management processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Provide support for Heroku and Mulesoft integration issues spanning multiple Salesforce instances.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Administrator, Developer, Architect) are required.
- Proven experience as a Salesforce Release Manager (minimum 5+ years), including managing SaaS Cloud Application releases across multiple Salesforce organizations.
- Strong knowledge of Salesforce platform, architecture and release management processes best practices.
- Experience with single sign-on, session management, user profiles, and user identity and authentication frameworks a strong plus.
- Experience with APEX, Salesforce.com Objects, Integration, data manipulations, and security.
- Experience using Project Force or similar.
- Excellent knowledge of Heroku and MuleSoft.
- Knowledge and experience with Database management and an object-oriented language like Java.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a history of hands-on, detail orientation.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills to manage multiple stakeholders effectively and drive consensus in a cross-functional environment.
- Familiarity with compliance and security standards, policies, and risk management.
- Ability to manage/juggle multiple priorities without loss of efficiency.
