As the I T Manager, you will manage IT infrastructure and business systems within the local unit of a chemical company Qemetica Silica US that is part of a global group. You will support business strategies by ensuring the operation of IT solutions that align with global standards and local requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with partners to define business and systems requirements for new technology or instructional technology implementations to align with business strategy.
- Report performance and KPI results to the CIO and Business Leader.
- Oversee the operation of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, security systems, and cloud solutions.
- Ensure high system availability and minimize downtime risks.
- Plan and implement IT projects.
- Support the digitalization of business processes in production, logistics, finance, and sales.
- Lead the IT team and coordinate the work of external partners.
- Manage the local IT budget.
- Monitor and implement security policies supporting global group standards.
- Manage security incidents and develop preventive plans.
- Analyze business processes and translate them into technological solutions.
- Provide technical support to employees.
- Educate users on IT tools and data security practices.
- Collaborate, negotiate and communicate with partners, both locally and globally.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred or 10+ years of proven experience as Network Engineer, Applications Analyst or similar role.
- 5+ years' experience leading an IT function.
- Experience with IT infrastructure/architecture, Quality Management Systems, ERP (SAP), IT trends and technologies, including data security.
- Manage teams in a matrix structure.
- Experience in planning and executing IT projects.
- Global experience preferred.
