About the Job / Key Responsibilities

CENSUS is expanding its IT team and we are currently looking for an IT Manager in Athens. 

The IT Manager will be responsible to oversee our IT infrastructure and lead a team of System Administrators. This role is crucial for ensuring our systems are secure, reliable, and aligned with the dynamic needs of our cybersecurity environment. The IT Manager will strategize, implement, and maintain scalable IT operations, contributing directly to our company’s commitment to robust, compliant, and cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions.

Key responsibilities:

    • Oversee the architecture, configuration, and maintenance of all IT infrastructure, including servers, network systems, storage, and end-user devices. 
    • Ensure IT systems comply with all cybersecurity and data privacy regulations. Work closely with the Management and CISO to implement and maintain critical security measures. 
    • Develop and enforce robust monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure optimal performance, security, and uptime across infrastructure.
    • Lead, mentor and manage a team of System Administrators. Foster a collaborative, efficient and proactive team culture, emphasizing continuous improvement.
    • Lead the team in diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues, and manage incident response procedures to minimize downtime and data risk. 
    • Oversee the IT team's operations and actively contributing to hands-on IT daily operations including the internal IT help desk, focusing on supporting remote users and enhancing employee satisfaction. 
    • Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, standards that align with industry best practices and company goals. 
    • Manage relationships with technology vendors, service providers, and internal stakeholders to optimize IT support and performance. 
    • Collaborate on the annual IT budget and forecast future technology needs. Plan for upgrades, new initiatives, and cost-saving measures to maximize ROI. 
    • Ensure comprehensive documentation of all systems and processes. Generate regular reports on team performance, system health, and incident resolutions for management.

    Key Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field. 
    • Minimum 5 years experience in systems administration (including endpoint management, networking equipment, VMs, servers). 
    • Background in Linux administration. 
    • Knowledge of Python, Bash. 
    • Strong understanding of security best practices and frameworks (e.g. OWASP). 
    • Experienced in compliance and certification processes (e.g. ISO 27001, GDPR) 
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. 
    • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. 
    • Proactive and self-motivated with a keen eye for detail. 
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. 
    • Ability to work from our offices in Athens.
