We are looking for a senior Tech leader (F/M) for our (Global Retail) Omnichannel domain who’s a great fit for the team in terms of content, Orange culture, and diversity. The Omnichannel domain encompasses all our digital (e.g. app & web) and assisted channels (e.g. call centre, information systems), being the leading interface to our customers to provide a superior customer experience. The customer segments within Retail being served by these solutions are Private Individuals, Private Banking and Business Banking for the digital channels and the whole bank for our assisted channels. This role sits in the Dutch Tech organisation, close to our large NL customerbase, but is delivering Tech solutions to virtually all of our Retail countries.
Job description
Translating and implementing the IT strategy in line with the bank’s BeFirst Retail strategy and our Global CTO strategy. Understanding business challenges, which leads to design and development of technology and digital products that drives innovation throughout the organisation and guarantees superior customer experiences. Ensuring a safe and compliant bank, stability and reliability of the IT landscape (including a simplified IT architecture) and using a solid vendor and sourcing strategy are vital elements.
Drive the roll-out and further embedment of our solutions in other countries, ensuring 24/7 availability and stability, whilst further mature our product offering and broaden our channels to be even more relevant for our private and business banking customers. Furthermore you will be the Tech thought leader having a forward looking view to rethink the way we interact with our customers and how to stay a step ahead of competition.
Creating and ensuring the engineering culture and one Agile Way of Working within your domain. In this capacity, you act as an ambassador for cultural change and serve as a role model. Stimulating collaboration between and alignment across people, tribes, squads, areas and chapters. Furthermore you’ll drive cross-cultural collaboration and create an atmosphere in which everyone feels appreciated. You work closely with a multitude of stakeholders globally within tech and business and align them around the common Tech vision, strategy and way of working.
Next to this you’ll have (people) management responsibility for several IT Area Leads. Ensuring overall IT maturity and drive craftsmanship of the employees working in your respective domain. To make this happen, you deeply know and understand the challenges of engineers and encourage IT Area Leads to continuously develop their capabilities and competencies to remain up-to-market in their field at all times. With your team you are creating the coolest app of NL.
Your work environment
You will be a member of the Tech NL Management Team, reporting directly to the CIO of the Netherlands. The other IT domains represented in the Tech NL MT are Products; Customer & Data; Core Bank & Advisory; Payments, Cards & Cash; and Engineering & Reliability. Your peers are the IT Leads of the other domains, including the Chief Architect Tech NL and Head of CISO NL. You will furthermore work closely together with the retail, business banking, operations and Risk senior leadership teams from the Dutch domestic bank and Global ING Tech departments. Your stakeholdersfield also extends to local ExCo members in the countries and our Global Board (MBB).
